Based on Yamaha’s super-popular MT-09 hyper naked model, the XSR900SP is modern technology wrapped in heritage styling.
The striking 80 Black colour scheme, with matching side panels, has been inspired by Yamaha’s iconic RZ250 of the 1980s, a decade when the smell of two-stroke fuel lingered in the air.
Other heritage styling cues linking the XSR900SP to its forefathers include aluminium tank covers, front and rear aluminium fenders, stitched seat, circular instrument clock, circular tail light, and retro-style headlight with aluminium stays.
Power is provided by Yamaha’s CP3 847cc triple-cylinder engine, featuring three levels of traction control, D-Mode selectable engine maps, and an Assist and Slipper (AS) clutch.
Suspension is a 41mm fork, adjustable for compression and rebound. The rear Monoshock is also adjustable for preload and rebound.
