With the new CR 65 Husqvarna enters further into the world of competitive minicross. Husqvarna joined the market in early 2010 with the automatic CR 50, a minicross for those just starting their off road racing career; with the CR 65 Husqvarna has decided to compete right from the first true bike a young off-roader rides.

The chassis has been redesigned and reinforced with a streamlined area below the cradle preventing knocks from uneven surfaces. The area around the footrest and rear brake pump has also been redesigned to increase the comfort for the rider. On the subject of comfort the bike has new front and rear suspension settings.
To suit the Australian market the tank capacity has been increased to 8.5 litres and a new fuel pump ensures 100% use of the available fuel.
The air box has been redesigned to improve airflow and resistance to water, a rain coat pre filter is supplied with the bike spares kit. New material was chosen for the engine guards to provide a better protection against hits.
The engine has been redesigned, improving power at low rpm. Fitted standard the rider has the ability to choose between 2 different CDI maps which can be changed while riding through a handlebar switch – for hard or soft ground, depending on the style of riding and condition of the track.

The new TE 310 boasts the lightest engine in the 250 cc 4-stroke category (22 kg), boosted to 302.44 cc, thanks to an increase in bore and stroke, now 82 x 57.3 mm. The throttle body is the same as that on the new TC 250 - a Mikuni 45 mm diameter.
The exhaust system is specially designed for the 310 model and as in the other models has a new heat protection on the silencer.
The bike is much lighter than the previous version (-6 kg) and comes with significantly higher torque and power.

Learned from World Enduro racing, a series of upgrades to the WR 250 and WR 300 have been incorporated in 2011.
Visible changes for both models include news graphics, new rear racing style mudguard with an integrated LED tail light and a new reinforced mounts for the headlight/front number plate. 
Less visible, but even more important from a technical point of view is the new Ducati Energia ignition.  The new  ignition is responsible for a smoother power delivery and much improved performance for both WR 250 and WR 300.
Riders in Australia will appreciate the new thermostat which optimizes the working temperature of the engine.
